Mariners signed OF Corey Patterson to a minor league contract.
Patterson kicked off the 2009 season with the Nationals, but was eventually released and signed a minor league deal with the Brewers. In all, he had 29 major league at-bats and managed just three hits. It's doubtful the 30-year-old outfielder contributes in Seattle in 2010.

Making his first start for the Brewers, Corey Patterson went 0-for-4 as a leadoff hitter in Monday's loss.
Ken Macha isn't even trying at this point. For the second game in a row, he never bothered pinch-hitting for a weak-hitting regular in a close game, and going with Patterson as a leadoff man suggests that he either has no idea how runs are scored or he simply doesn't care any longer.

Brewers purchased the contract of outfielder Corey Patterson from Triple-A Nashville.
The Brewers had signed Patterson in early August after he had been released by the Nationals. He put up solid numbers in 29 games for Nashville, turning in a .962 OPS in 135 PAs, but he won't be used in anything more than a reserve role initially. It'll be Patterson's fourth major-league ballclub in as many seasons and fifth overall.

Brewers signed outfielder Corey Patterson to a minor league contract.
Patterson was 2-for-15 with six strikeouts during a short stay with the Nationals earlier this season. He spent most of his time with the club's Triple-A Affiliate in Syracuse, batting .274/.318/.422 in 283 plate appearances. He'll get started in the Brewers' minor league system on Sunday.

Patterson was 2-for-15 with six strikeouts in an earlier stint with the Nationals this season. He hit .274/.318/.422 in 283 plate appearances for Triple-A Syracuse. Patterson will likely latch on with another organization's Triple-A affiliate.

Nationals optioned outfielder Corey Patterson to Triple-A Syracuse.
